Eric was a national pioneer in the mediation in the schools movement. His groundbreaking work in multicultural and muti-ethnic mediation in Hawaii public and private schools helped the University of Hawaii earn prestigious national recognition, including special accommodation from the Martin Luther King Institute for youth peace-making. Eric is a nationally recognized instructor in conflict resolution and team productivity and is certified in mediation and ancient Hawaiian Ho`oponopono (HO O poe no poe no . . . problem solving and stress release). He is also an award-winning instructor for the University of Hawaii's statewide Family Community Leadership Program.
