Executive Summary

Facilitated Results very quickly creates significant individual, work-unit and organizational improvement. Guided by a senior manager sponsor and pre-established, key organizational and departmental objectives, half-day* learning modules provide the venue for rapid individual and team development, and facilitated priority focus.

Substantial movement is generated around current work issues, priorities and opportunities. As participants go through the series, they gain new ideas to break from their current mode of thinking and behaving. They quickly accrue relevant ideas for improvement and are engaged in focusing their learning onto these ideas in order to take immediate, targeted action. This action produces substantial gains in efficiency, cost reduction and revenue enhancement. Finally, this organic problem solving method often inspires personal, ongoing interest in change, innovation, and improvement; much of which sustains itself over time without our further intervention.

The Facilitated Results Program consists of eight 2/3rd day sessions:

  1. six classes of content and homework, with actual application of learning to make changes and workplace improvements


  2. two sessions showcasing the actions and outcomes generated to program sponsors and key senior stakeholders

Objectives

The core curriculum is designed to provide practical, intensive and focused self-development and departmental/company improvement. It is structured to help participants to more effectively:

  • Expedite attainment of key departmental and company business goals


  • Sharpen and expand leadership, management, and team skills


  • Apply learning to create significant performance leverage, productivity improvement and efficiency gain


  • Collaborate to sustain the team, maintain morale and generate proactive, self-responsible leadership

Purpose
The purpose of Facilitated Results is to create:

  1. Focused application of the participant’s learning around one, two or all three of the central areas: Resources, Processes and Relationships. (Learning is channeled into two improvement projects where participants, with the help of their manager, select issues or opportunities which they would like to effect.)


  2. Important leverage for the chosen issue or opportunity, with resulting benefit for the work unit(s), department and/or the company


  3. Measurable gains in efficiency, productivity and performance


  4. A venue for showcasing and celebrating these results with peers and management

Method
I. Results

The program “facilitates results” three ways, it:

  1. Engages, up-front, senior management to clarify and link the participants’ learning and focused improvement application to their company’s and work unit’s key business objectives.


  2. Establishes, through the “Guiding Questions”, a ‘cascading of relevancy’ and immediacy, linking individual learning, focus and improvement efforts back up through the department and organizational levels.


  3. Generates focus, action and outcomes around individually chosen (manager supported) improvement projects. Participants gain the specific skills, tools and focus necessary to produce immediate, measured results around current, real-life organizational, departmental, work unit and individual job priorities, issues and/or opportunities.

Facilitated Results is normally conducted as a series of 2/3rd day sessions at a pace chosen by the company or sponsoring group. It is available to every organizational level and most all group mixes. It may be held in a public venue or as a very powerful in-house series. Substantial results can be attained as quickly as six weeks.
